‘The Sales Operations Executive is responsible for all sales and commercial support within the Buddy Platform EMEA business, incorporating the distribution of Buddy Ohm Energy Monitoring solutions and LIFX Smart LED Lighting.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director, EMEA, with a dotted line responsibility to the Global Sales Operations Manager (US based). The role requires a rounded individual with strong inside sales, operational and commercial ability, likely from a sales operations or inside sales role today in a leading Retail, IT, Telecoms or Energy organisation.
Today, the combined products of Buddy (www.buddy.com) and LIFX (www.eu.lifx.com) are distributed through a growing base of Distributors, Resellers, and large Retailers across the Globe. Specifically in Europe, our business is moving at pace as we expand across the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and onwards across Eastern Europe and Russia. On the Buddy side of the business, our solutions are sold to Enterprise customers, and on the LIFX side, our products are sold through online and offline Retailers to domestic consumers (for example Amazon, Curry’s PC World, MediaMarkt, Bauhaus, Fnac, Darty, Boulanger, Elkjop, CoolBlue, BOL.com etc).
The Sales Operations Executive will support the team of in country sales managers, and selected large distributors, in managing our sales function. Predominately office based in south west Dublin, the role offers flexible working conditions with an ability to work partially from home. Some international travel to support customers will be expected from time to time, and a future expansion of the role and responsibilities is possible as the business in Europe is growing at a substantial pace. The Sales Operations Executive will also track the sales pipeline with leading partners, and facilitate training and development to partners to accelerate business growth across the region (with our global shared service teams).

Onboard a new consumer retailer: Our French sales team have just landed an exciting opportunity to launch LIFX Smart Lighting in a leading French DIY Retailer. You need to support the team in France, along with the design team in Melbourne to design, build and deliver a world class feature display and have this installed in 100 stores within 6 weeks. We have also agreed to conduct in store training in 10 store locations in French in weeks 7-8….and need to get 10,000 bulbs shipped from our warehouse in Tilburg to the customer warehouse in Rennes…….
Onboard a new enterprise partner: Our Norwegian team have appointed a new Energy Management company to sell the Buddy Ohm energy measurement solution in Norway. You need to support the launch and ensure that equipment is shipped from the Dublin warehouse in time for the onsite training. You will need to work with the team in Seattle to ensure the new partner is set up on our CRM system and set up a remote training meeting with the customer sales and technical teams……
We’re looking for a full stack developer who is excited about technology and would like to solve problems involving a range of technologies.

This role will be based out of our Seattle office and focused on our Airstream project, which involves turning the iconic Airstream trailer into a smart trailer. The first smart Airstreams have started shipping out of the factories and we have lots more cool work to do.
The project is delivered using Scrum and the team has a wide range of skills. The project involves working on a set of native mobile apps, a web portal and our cloud platform.
