David McLauchlan
CEO and Executive Director

David is the co-founder, CEO and Executive Director of Buddy Platform. Before launching Buddy, David gained extensive international business experience, spending nearly 11 years at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, WA in the hardware, software and development teams. Prior to moving to the US, David was a management consultant for PwC in Australia. David holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering (Hons) from the University of South Australia.

Richard Jacroux

Richard Jacroux is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Buddy Platform. Richard has a 20 year background in financial management and accounting, with an extensive background in operational efficiency, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting, ERP implementation and upgrades, strategic leadership and guiding and restructuring business practices. He was named Chief Financial Officer of the year by Puget Sound Business Journal in 2010. Richard holds a Masters/MBA in Management from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and accounting from the University of Washington.

Adam Schultz
VP, Hardware & Business Development

Adam Schultz is the VP, Hardware & Business Development for Buddy Platform, where is jointly responsible for hardware as well as business development opportunities for Buddy worldwide. Prior to joining Buddy, Adam spent 15 years working extensively with Utilities throughout Australia/NZ, South East Asia and North America as a trusted advisor, project engineer and project manager on Smart Grid technology-related initiatives. Adam holds a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from the University of South Australia.

Julio Alvarez
General Manager Latin America

Julio has worked for over 20 years in the Caribbean and Latin America region. He’s held senior leadership roles with major Telco groups such as: Western Wireless (CCO, Product Director, Business Development Director M&A Americas), Digicel (International Business Director) and Cable & Wireless (Product Director). While he’s spent most of his career on the operator side, Julio got his start in telecom in marketing and sales with Nortel Networks. Miami has been home base for 30 years, but he’s spent 6 years living in Ecuador, Jamaica, and Haiti, and has traveled for work to every country in the Americas. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.

Martin Carroll
Managing Director, Buddy Platform (Europe) Limited.

Martin Carroll is responsible for our European operation across Sales, Business Development, Financial and Operational execution. Martin brings to Buddy Platform 20 years global telecom and operational experience from leadership roles in Digicel (COO – Enterprise Caribbean), Vodafone (Enterprise Fixed Transformation – Ireland) and Mitel (Head of SMB Portfolio – Canada). In leading the European operation, Martin leverages his skills in operational management, sales execution, and business transformation as our industry evolves and we scale our business globally. Martin holds a Masters/MBA from University of Cardiff (Wales) and is a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.

Charles Eliot
VP of Product

Charles Eliot is the VP of Product, responsible for Buddy’s Ohm and Data product lines. He was educated at MIT and Oxford, and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship in 1979. Over a long career Charles has written embedded operating systems for home microcomputers, trading systems for money brokers, and stats systems for live sports TV. He was at Microsoft for 24 years, working on the Exchange, CRM, Windows and Bing teams, as well as a stint as Head of Engineering Services for Skype.

Paul Russell
VP of Engineering

Paul Russell is the VP of Engineering for Buddy Platform, where he is responsible for leading Buddy’s Hardware and Software Engineering teams. Paul spent 17 years consulting globally across different technologies and industries prior to joining Buddy. Paul holds a Bachelor of Information Technology with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology.

Tim Ritchie
VP of Sales and Partnerships

Tim Ritchie is the Vice President of Sales and Partnerships at Buddy Platform and has twenty five years of experience in customer-facing roles, nearly half of that with SaaS companies.Tim has helped clients like Apple, Accenture, Starbucks, CBS, Microsoft, Vodafone, and March of Dimes navigate complex technology ecosystems and take advantage of the unique opportunities new technologies present to solve problems and drive new business models. Tim holds a BA (Political Science) from the University of Washington.

Brian Seitz
VP of Marketing and Communications

Brian Seitz is the VP of Marketing and Communications for Buddy Platform, and is responsible for shaping and sharing the Buddy story world-wide. Brian has extensive communications experience, working for a range of Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations over an 18 year career – including nine years Microsoft Corporation and five years at global communications agency WE. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations) from Central Washington University.

Travis Gerber
VP of Customer Success

Travis Gerber is the VP of Customer Success for Buddy Platform and is responsible for delivering on the value that the Buddy Platform provides to its customers and partners worldwide. Travis has held several IT operations and professional services leadership roles developing and leading organizations including several years as Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft Ltd, United Kingdom. Travis holds an MBA from the Foster School of Business (University of Washington).
