Buddy adds new mobile operator partner in Canada, SaskTel

Written by Beth Worrall

This week we announced an exciting new agreement with leading mobile operator SaskTel who will market, sell, distribute and install Buddy Ohm across Saskatchewan, Canada.

There are a couple of key reasons why this announcement is such a great one for our team and investors at Buddy.

Working with one of the technology leaders in the region, we have an excellent opportunity to both accelerate Buddy Ohm sales and expand our business to an exciting new geography.

SaskTel is the leading mobile and technology provider in Saskatchewan, with over CA$1.2 billion in annual revenue and approximately 1.4 million customer connections.

With this agreement, SaskTel will identify and facilitate sales of Buddy Ohm into major commercial and industrial customers looking to reduce their overall energy spend and reduce their carbon footprint.

Nationally, the Canadian Government have prioritised energy efficiency in the built environment as a key tool in the fight against climate change, and services like Buddy Ohm will play a critical role as these ambitions are realised.

Partnerships with mobile operators, like Sasktel in Canada and Digicel in the Caribbean, will certainly help to accelerate Ohm adoption and grow into a leader in the building monitoring and smart city space. We look forward to working with both of these organisations as we continue to grow.
